路桥工程学院创建于1958年，至今已积累了67年的办学经验，累计培养毕业生达6.6万名，为广西交通基础建设行业培养了60%以上的建设者，被誉“广西路桥人才的摇篮”。对接交通强国、西部陆海新通道等国家重大战略，学院传承弘扬“逢山开路遇水搭桥”的路桥开拓精神，打造具有丰富内涵的“领路人”“铺路石”党建品牌，塑造具有广西“拱桥之乡”特色的“虹途”专业文化品牌，培养了一大批具有交通烙印的“德技并修、开路先锋”的高素质交通运输技术技能型人才，为广西交通运输建设和经济社会发展做出了重要贡献。
The School of Road and Bridge Engineering was founded in 1958 and has accumulated 67 years of educational experience, producing over 66,000 graduates. Recognized as the "Cradle of Road and Bridge Talents in Guangxi," the school has trained more than 60% of the professionals in Guangxi's transportation infrastructure industry.In order to adapt to major national strategies such as building a strong transportation sector and the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, the school, by carrying forward the spirit of “cutting paths through mountains and building bridges across rivers”, and creating the Party-Building brands with rich connotations featuring “a guide” and “a paving stone”, and shaping the professional cultural brand of "Hongtu" with the characteristics of Guangxi's "Hometown of Arch Bridges".These efforts have nurtured a generation of highly skilled and ethical transportation professionals, making significant contributions to Guangxi's transportation sector and socio-economic development.
学院开设道路与桥梁工程技术、港口与航道工程技术、铁道工程技术、智能交通技术、道路运输管理、城市轨道交通工程技术、道路工程造价、道路工程检测技术、土木工程检测技术、智能建造技术等十个专业。
The school offers ten majors, including Road and Bridge Engineering Technology, Port and Waterway Engineering Technology, Railway Engineering Technology, Intelligent Transportation Technology, Road Transportation Management, Urban Rail Transit Engineering Technology, Road Engineering Cost, Road Engineering Detection Technology, Civil Engineering Detection Technology, and Intelligent Construction Technology,etc.
组建道路与桥梁工程技术高水平专业群，核心专业道路与桥梁工程技术和骨干专业港口与航道工程技术、铁道工程技术，对接“公、水、铁”建管养一体化、新材料应用趋势，支撑专业智能交通技术、道路运输管理对接多式联运和数字化转型趋势。专业群是国家骨干专业、交通运输部示范专业，以优秀等次通过广西双高验收，并入选第二轮高水平专业群A类建设单位，拥有国家教学成果一等奖、在线精品课程，课程思政示范课程、教材建设奖等国家级荣誉23项。在多份第三方评价报告中，核心专业排名稳居全国高职院校同类专业前五行列。
A high-level professional group for Road and Bridge Engineering Technology has been established. The core major is Road and Bridge Engineering Technology, and the backbone majors are Port and Waterway Engineering Technology and Railway Engineering Technology. These majors are aligned with the integration of construction, management, and maintenance in the "highway, waterway, and railway" sectors, as well as the application trend of new materials. The supporting majors, Intelligent Transportation Technology and Road Transportation Management, are aligned with the trends of multimodal transport and digital transformation. This professional group has been recognized as a national backbone program and a demonstration program by the Ministry of Transport. It achieved an excellent rating in the Guangxi Double High-level Program acceptance and was selected as a Class A construction unit in the second round of high-level professional group development. The school has earned 23 national honors, including the first prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award, national online quality courses, demonstration courses for ideological and political education integration and textbook construction awards. In multiple third-party evaluation reports, the core majors consistently rank among the top five in similar majors in national higher vocational colleges.

学院目前是广西高校首批“三全育人”综合改革示范院系，是拥有国家级职业教育教师创新团队1个，国家级课程思政教学团队1个，是教育部现代学徒制人才培养首批试点单位。学院核心专业——道路与桥梁工程技术专业连续20年保持广西同类专业办学规模第一，技术应用服务第一，位居全国前列。
The school is currently one of the first comprehensive reform demonstration departments for "three comprehensive education" in Guangxi universities. It boasts one national level vocational education teacher innovation team and one national level curriculum ideological and political teaching team, and is one of the first pilot units for modern apprenticeship talent cultivation by the Ministry of Education. Road and Bridge Engineering Technology, the core major of the school,has maintained the first place in scale among counterparts in Guangxi for 20 consecutive years, and ranks first in technology application services, ranking among the top in the country.
2019年获评广西首轮高水平专业群，并于2022年以“优秀”等次通过验收。根据2024金平果《全国高职院校专业竞争力排行榜》全国开设同类专业的191所院校中，位居第5位（全国前3%）。
In 2019, it was awarded the first round of high-level professional group in Guangxi and passed the acceptance with an "excellent" rating in 2022. According to the 2024 Golden Apple "China’s Vocational College Professional Competitiveness Ranking", it ranked 5th out of 191 colleges in the country that offer similar majors (in the top 3% of the country).
学院依托全国首批现代学徒制试点，发挥广西交通运输职教集团理事单位优势，实施的“单位集团化、专业集群化、培养多样化”现代学徒制育人模式，获2022年国家职业教育教学成果一等奖（广西高职院校唯一），育人相关案例收录至中国教育发展战略协会编制的《2021-2022产教融合校企合作典型案例100篇》。
The school creates a modern apprenticeship education model of "unit grouping, professional clustering, and diversified training", based on its status as one of the first batch of modern apprenticeship pilot programs nationwide, and on its status as a director unit of Guangxi Transport Vocational Education Group, and. It has won the first prize of the National Vocational Education Teaching Achievement Award in 2022 (the only vocational college in Guangxi), and its education-related cases have been included in the "2021-2022 Typical 100 Cases of Industry Education Integration and School Enterprise Cooperation" compiled by the China Education Development Strategy Association.
学院结合西南喀斯特地区特点，校企共建了全国同类院校规模最大的“校园教学工场”、国家示范虚仿基地培育项目“虚拟仿真教学工场”、世界第一跨径拱桥广西平南三桥“企业教学工场”等三类教学工场，面向133家单位开放，受益人数年均1.8万人次，受到教育部领导高度肯定，获国家级教学成果二等奖。
Based on the characteristics of karst in the southwestern region of China, the school jointly builds with companies the "campus teaching workshop", the largest of its kind in China, the "virtual simulation teaching workshop" which is a national demonstration virtual simulation base cultivation project, and the "enterprise teaching workshop" which is based in Guangxi Pingnan Third Bridge, the No. 1 span arch bridge in the world , etc. These workshops are open to 133 units and benefit an average of 18000 people per year. They have been highly recognized by the leadership of the Ministry of Education and have won the second prize of national teaching achievements.

学院打造了向海经济、西部陆海新通道、绿色交通、平安交通四类核心科研平台，获自治区级工程中心3个、市厅级工程技术中心6个，建成了全国唯一的水下破岩细分领域工程中心，取得液压柱破岩、水下爆破气泡帷幕防护等技术突破，填补国内外空白，引领全球水下破岩技术发展，在越南、斯里兰、喀麦隆等“一带一路”沿线国家基础设施建设项目中使用，取得了良好的效果。
The school has built four core scientific research platforms of four sectors, namely, sea-based economy, new international land-sea trade corridor, green transport, and safe transport. It has been awarded three autonomous region level engineering centers, six municipal level engineering technology centers, and built the only engineering center in China in the sub-field of underwater rock breaking. It has made technological breakthroughs in hydraulic column rock breaking, underwater blasting bubble curtain protection, etc., that have filled in the blank at home and abroad and led the global development of the technology, and such have been used in infrastructure construction projects in countries along the "Belt and Road Initiative", such as Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Cameroon, achieving good results.
学院近3年获得广西科学技术奖9项、国家发明专利等其他成果37项，参与编制地方标准和行业标准21项， 20余项技术攻关和技术服务成果应用在平陆运河、都巴高速、贵南高铁等项目，带来近2亿元的经济效益。
In the past three years, the school has won 9 Guangxi Science and Technology Awards, 37 national invention patents, and other achievements. It has participated in the formulation of 21 local and industry standards, and has applied more than 20 technological breakthroughs and service achievements in projects such as the Pinglu Canal, the Duba Expressway, and the Guinan High Speed Railway, generating nearly 200 million yuan in economic benefits.

学院连续多年毕业生就业率高达95%以上，毕业生就业平均月薪达5500元以上，每一年升学到本科高校深造的学生人数为30%以上。毕业生中90%以上就业于交通运输行业的大型国企如广西北投集团、广西交投集团，以及到各地市的交通运输管理机构。2015届毕业生赵俊智、2016届毕业生黄文华获全国高校毕业生基层就业卓越奖，更多毕业生荣获李春奖（公路交通优质工程奖）、自治区主席质量奖、全国交通系统劳动模范等奖项143人，高就业率已然成为口耳相传的金字招牌。
The employment rate of graduates of the school has been over 95% for consecutive years, with an average monthly salary of over 5500 yuan. More than 30% of students are admitted to undergraduate universities for further education each year. More than 90% of graduates are employed by large state-owned enterprises in the transportation industry, such as Guangxi Beibu Gulf Investment Group Co., Ltd and Guangxi Communications Investment Group Co., Ltd, as well as transportation management agencies in various cities. Zhao Junzhi, a graduate of 2015, and Huang wenhua,a graduate of 2016,won the National Award for Excellence in Grassroots Employment of College Graduates, and 143 graduates won honors such as the Li Chun Award (Highway Traffic Quality Project Award), the Quality Award of the Chairman of the Autonomous Region, and the model worker of the National Transportation System. The high employment rate has become a very good reputation of the school by word of mouth.
近3年学生先后获国家级技能大赛（含创新大赛、职业规划大赛、挑战杯等大赛）7项、省部级159项，学生团队荣获全国活力团支部TOP100奖、社会实践全国重点团队等等，人才培养质量不断攀升，受到行业高度认可。
In the past three years, students individually have won 7 awards in national level skills competitions (including innovation competitions, career planning competitions, Challenge Cups, etc.) and 159 in provincial and ministerial level competitions. 国际交流合作效果显著
The effects of international exchanges and cooperation are remarkable
近年来，学院以与印尼国立技术大学开展国际交流合作为起点，2017年11月，与其签订合作意向书，联合建立“一带一路”创新创业孵化基地及“一带一路”交通基础设施实训基地。依托基地，持续为印尼当地的技术人员和学生提供土建方面的技术技能及考证培训。2021年，申报"中印尼‘一带一路’交通基础设施职业教育培训”等3个项目，获得广西壮族自治区教育厅立项资助。
In recent years, the college has initiated international exchanges and cooperation with the National University of Technology of Indonesia. In November 2017, a Letter of Intent was signed between the two institutions to jointly establish the "Belt and Road" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubation Base and the "Belt and Road" Transportation Infrastructure Training Base. Leveraging these platforms, the college has consistently provided technical training and certification programs in civil engineering for local Indonesian technicians and students, enhancing their professional competencies. In 2021, the college successfully applied for three projects, including the "China-Indonesia Belt and Road Transportation Infrastructure Vocational Education and Training Program," which received funding approval from the Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. These initiatives have further strengthened the college's role in fostering international collaboration and capacity building in transportation infrastructure.
2024年10月，学校与中国五矿集团中冶南方都市环保印尼公司、广西北部湾投资集团有限公司、印尼国立技术大学共同签署了四方合作协议书，为中国及印尼两国的交通基础设施建设，培养符合两国要求的高技能人才。
In October 2024, the university jointly signed a quadripartite cooperation agreement with China Metallurgical South Urban Environmental Protection Indonesia Company of China Minmetals Corporation, Guangxi Beibu Gulf Investment Group Co., Ltd., and the Indonesian National Institute of Technology. This aims to cultivate highly skilled talents that meet the requirements of both China and Indonesia for the construction of transportation infrastructure in the two countries.
